Lifosa, a Lithuanian phosphate fertilizer plant, will stop production from September 13 due to insufficient ammonia supplies. The 70,000 t/mo DAP and NPS facilities started to restart on August 7, but production will stop next week. Achema, a Lithuanian nitrogen producer, has been struggling to find ammonia to use as a feedstock for phosphate production since it halted production this month because of soaring gas costs. The company will continue to produce DAP until September 13 and has some "small inventory" available for sale in warehouses, the sources said.
